BACKGROUND

Social Imprints is a printing, branding, and promotional products company dedicated to providing consumers with the unique options of promotional merchandise, custom printing, and web store fulfillment. Social Imprints has been the go-to promotional products vendor for many of the nation’s leading tech companies. 

With orders coming from around the globe, it was becoming difficult for Social Imprints to manage its day to day operations using different tools for ERP and CRM. There was a lack of proper order management. With the team sitting over large volumes of data, there was no defined workflow system to keep track of anything. 

Hence, Social Imprints was looking for a platform to streamline its entire business operations and sales cycle. 

CHALLENGES

Vinsol had the challenge to develop a customized tool tailored to the needs of different groups within the organization. SI has multiple departments and interconnecting workflows that require Vinsol to work on the promotional product industries nuances. But in achieving this, the team faced multiple challenges like –

  • Complex business requirements custom to different internal workflows
  • Personalized views for users linking out to different dashboards
  • To liaise with various vendors for 3rd party integrations viz, SAGE, Intacct, Braintree, PubNub, Easypost

EXECUTION

After taking into consideration the business challenges that SI was facing, team Vinsol developed a custom-built solution that took care of both ERP and CRM related activities for optimal efficiency

Our team decided to build the solution on Ruby on Rails, along with using multiple third-party integration tools like PubNub, Sendgrid, Easypost, etc. as per the business need. This helped SI with improved sales processes, better resource management, timelog reports, and work assignment flow.
